Spanish Harlem, 1975. Ageing gangster and former drug lord Carlito Brigante is fed up with corrupt street life. Revisiting his old stomping grounds, he realizes his type of criminality has been rendered obsolete by the new breed of voraciously violent felons.
Trying to make good on old promises, the ex-con locates his old girlfriend Gail, now a topless dancer in a sleazy midtown dive. Once they're reunited, he plans to establis a legitimate rental car business in the beautiful Bahamas. But fateful forces keep Carlito from reaching his island paradise: namely, his drug-addicted lawyer who keeps dragging Carlito into unlawful schemes. But Carlito's time may be running out, especially since he's now become the target for a band of relentless criminals.
Not as good as Scarface, but definately one of De Palma's finest.

Story: 7/10 - A great storyline about betrayal, money and evil.
Acting: 10/10 - Al Pacino is the engine that keeps Carlito's way moving, with a surprising (and fucking great!) performance by Sean Penn.
Violence: 5/10 - De Palma has toned it down a bit since Scarface!
Nudity: 3/10 - Penelope Ann Miller is HOT in this movie.
Coolness: 8/10 - De Palma/ Pacino is a lethal combination.
