Serpico
(1973)
Director: Sidney Lumet
Starring: Al Pacino, John Randolph, Jack Kehoe, Biff McGuire, Barbara Eda-Young, Cornelia Sharpe
our comment. "Al Pacino was the man in the 70's, no fucking doubt about it."
Serpico is an easy-going guy with very clear morals about what's right and what's wrong (sorta like me...ahem). As he moves from precinct to precinct in dire hope of finding an honest place to work, all he finds are more and more corrupt cops....and it seems to corrupt his morality, and drive him insane since the cops aren't comfortable with cops who is not on the take.
