Showdown in Little Tokyo
(1993)
Director: Mark L. Lester
Starring: Dolph Lundgren, Brandon Lee, Tia Carrere, and her body double
our comment. "You've seen it a million times before, just never this dumb."
Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee stars as two cops, Dolph's character was raised in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese ( it must be seen to be believed), and Lee is very American and street-smart.

Now, these two airheads are after the Yakuza (chinese mafia) in L.A. They get two kick a lot of ass, shot a lot of guns, tell wise-ass jokes in critical situations and basically make total fools out of themselves. Way to go, guys.

The best part of the movie has to be the ultra-stupid dialog, like when Brandon Lee hears that Dolph lived in Japan, he asks if he had to trim those small trees, where Dolphy replys "a warrior who knows only one side is vulnerable to attack", and he says it with a straight face, now that's acting.

10 stars, thumbs up and can't wait to mock and laugh at these guys in the sequel.

Story: 1/10 - This film doesn't waste any time with unnecassary items such as characterizations, plot or logic. You've seen it a million times before, just never this dumb.

Acting: 0/10 - Dolph Lundgren has the acting abilities resembling a loaf of bread, and the rest of the cretins aren't much better. At one point Brandon Lee, being the dork that he is, gets to say "you have the biggest dick I've ever seen on a man"(!?) to Dolph, these two assholes need winnebagos to lug their ego around in.

Violence: 8/10 - The body count is on the three digit side, and there are plenty of body parts being chopped off.

Nudity: 10/10 - Oh! plenty. If you want political correctness, well look elsewhere. In one scene we see guests at a sushi-bar eating sushi off of naked women.

Coolness: 0/10 - If you look up the word "silly" in the dictionary you'll read "lacking good sense, foolish, unwise; feeble-minded", they should just change it to Showdown in Little Tokyo.
